Health is a fundamental
human right.
Founded in 1993, Latino Health Access was created in response to serious health disparities in Orange County. We recognized that clinical care alone wasn't enough to address the needs of underserved communities.
Our model is simple yet revolutionary: people are the solution. We empower community members as Promotores to lead the change.
What is a
Promotor?
"We recruit the heart and train the head."
A Promotor is a community member trained to provide health education and advocacy for their neighbors. They share the same language, culture, and life experiences as the people they serve.
- Peer-to-peer connection & trust
